God our Father, you have made your servant Edward a bishop of the Church,
a light to your faithful people,
to feed your sheep with his word
and to teach by his example.
Help us to keep the faith he teaches and to follow the way of life 
he shows us.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.   Amen
