Christmas 2003
Living
Water Community continued the tradition of hosting a Christmas party for the
children of the families they serve throughout the year in their new mission
territory, Barbados.

Mr Weekes and his donkey, Flash, showed the children how it was done in the
good old days
Over 65 children plus parents attended the December 6 party at Brighton
Farmer’s Market, St George, including children from Living Water’s
children’s spirituality group, the new Sacred Heart Parish, St Philip, and
the St Vincent de Paul, St John. They enjoyed tractor rides, donkey cart
rides, a bouncy castle, face painting and other events, and loads of snacks
and drinks served throughout the event, or just ran about on the green
expanses.
A host
of Living Water Community Barbados members served throughout and prior to
the event. Many were touched by the effect of the event on both those
serving at the party, and the party-goers.
Noting that the children, who had never met, accepted and played with each
other as though they were longtime friends, one mother declared, “Adults
could well learn something from them!”
