Four members of Living Water Community Barbados, who are very strong proponents of the Alpha programme, recently attended the National Alpha Conference in Orlando, Florida, held 18 - 22 October. Apart from dynamic lectures, discussion groups and fiery prayer and praise sessions, the highlight was undoubtedly meeting Alpha pioneer, Rev Nicky Gumbel, vicar of Holy Trinity, Brompton.
Living Water Barbados is currently conducting an Alpha programme for its teen ministry on Friday nights and is also involved in an Alpha for adults offered at St Dominic's parish, Christ Church.
It is estimated that over 13 million people worldwide have done the Alpha programme since its inception and two million people, so far, have done it this year (2009).
