Youth Fun Day and Cook Out

On the Feast of Corpus Christi 2005, the young people, from Living Water, Port-of-Spain and San Fernando, gathered together at the Cathedral to join in the celebrations of the local church.

We were a river of blue as we made our way around the Promenade and back up again in our blue LWC T-Shirts. Some of our young adults from north and south held the canopy.

But when the procession was over, the day was just warming up for the Living Water youth. Off we went to the Fountain of Hope grounds where we had breakfast and broke up into teams of Red, Blue, Green and Yellow.

Games included three-legged football, dodge ball, a Frisbee game played like rugby and a hoola hoop competition. Points were awarded in the form of play money which each team received after a game.

While most of the teams were outside with these games, other members went into the kitchen to cook and also win points for their team. The menu? Chicken pelau and cole slaw - And just how did the food come out?  The unanimous verdict read: “Great job!” Moms, you would have been proud!

At the end of the day everyone was calling for many more days like it in the

not-to-distant future. Stay tuned. Or better yet, come join us and be part of all this Ministry has to offer!   (POS: Mondays 3.30-4.30 pm; SFD: Fridays 5.30-7.00 pm)
