“The second is this: You must love your neighbour as yourself.”

(Mark 12:31)

Love for our neighbours is not only for those close to us but for all persons that we encounter daily. What a different world we would live in if we would treat each other the way that we would want to be treated. This is a lesson for our country during these trying times. If only we could practice that type of love that allows us to see beyond ourselves to the goodness within each person that we meet. It is unconditional, without boundaries or the limitations that normally guide us; but this love frees us to behold the power of God’s glory in all persons. Our task is to learn to love ourselves as God loves us and then for us to love and serve others.

Father, may we be given the grace of unconditional love. Amen
