"Jesus came to Nazara and spoke to the people
in the synagogue: I tell you solemnly, no prophet
is ever accepted in his own country."

It is often hard when  persons that we know don’t treat us kindly and reject us. It may happen within our homes, our work environment or even in our community. This can create feelings of pain and hurt but we need to remember that even if we are rejected by the ones close to us; we would never be rejected by God. Our belief in God and his plan for our lives takes us beyond the hurt and pain of rejection and shows us that we need to continue to show mercy and compassion to everyone we encounter in our lives.

Lord, help us to always remember that you will never
abandon us; we just have to believe. Amen.
