There were many other things that Jesus did; if all were
written down, the world itself, I suppose, would not hold
all the books that would have to be written.

How true are these words of John! We speak of Jesus as the author of our lives, the one through whom we live and move and have our very being.  Through our baptism into his death and resurrection we have all received his life within us and have become living testimonies to his love and mercy and therefore we, each one of us, is another “book” that could be written of what Jesus did and said.

Jesus we believe that from the beginning of creation you were at work with the Father and the Spirit, shaping history and preparing the world for your coming.  It was you who intervened in the lives of all the saints through the ages, those known and those ‘unsung’ heroes of love; every citizen of your heavenly kingdom is a ‘book’ of your work on earth.  We pray that you will continue to mould us, Lord, and that we open ourselves to your influence in our lives and continue to work towards the spreading of your kingdom so that each one of us would be yet another ‘book’ testifying to your love and mercy.  AMEN
