"Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said: ‘Father, the hour has come:
glorify your Son so that your Son may glorify you; and, through the power
over all mankind that you have given him, let him give eternal life to all
those you have entrusted to him.  And eternal life is this: to know you,
the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent’."
(Read John 17:1-11).

O Jesus, we pray that the whole world will be filled with the knowledge of the Triune God for we believe that this is the only way that lasting peace will descend upon the earth.  You long to draw us to yourself; may we seek more and more ways to learn of you through your holy scriptures, sacred reading and through personal prayer so that each of your creatures will have a deeper relationship with you and receive from you eternal life.  AMEN
